Ooohhhhhhhh......Please God, keep him safe. I hope he is found soon. I can't believe those idiots couldn't hold on to him for one more day.
I will pray and pray that he is found safe.

To top things off I recieved a call that a woman found a Weim in her back yard chained and padlocked to a tree and he's covered in ticks. It's not Suede, she said he's approx. 50- 60 lbs. and he has a short docked tail, approx 4 inches. Suedes is probably more like 10 inches and he's 100lbs.
I cannot keep the dog at my house, so I'm going to go pick him up but I don't know what I'm going to do with him!!
|
Amy - I am going to search around for Suede, and see if I can spot him. I have contacted my family who lives in the area.
If you can't find a place for this new boy, call me please. 443-623-3739. I know my hubby will not be thrilled, but I can NOT stand to see a weim without a home! |

| I posted a lost pet ad on petfinder.com for Suede with my contact information. Most lost pets are found due to footwork rather than the internet, but it can't hurt. |

Damn it, it wasn't him...at least this guys name is not Suede. They said he came in overnight but was claimed by an owner. I told them to be on the lookout for Suede.
By any chance, did they change his name???? Maybe someone should still go check him out. I don't know if the owners actually went and looked at him or not. It could still be Suede. |

UGH!!! What a LOOOONG DAY!!!!
I spent 3 hours today posting flyers at Vets, Grocery Stores down the main road and through their neighborhood, walking around their neighborhood talking to neighbors, the mail lady, and everyone in the bar on the corner...
Then I drove almost an hour away to pick up this other Weim that someone had found chained and locked to a tree.......
and guess who it was......
YUP! Seude!!!! I couldn't believe it! I started crying and shaking, I got goosebumps. I couldn't believe he was so far away yet so close to where I originally picked him up at back in November! I just have to wonder if he wasn't trying to find his old family. He traveled 40 miles. Poor guy! The people that found him said that they were pulling ticks off of him left and right. And he has lost A TON of weight! No wonder the woman didn't think it was the same dog. I told her he was a 100 lb dog and she said her 65lb standard poodle was bigger than "this dog". She also said he wasn't gray, he's brown. I guess that's easily confusing if you've never seen a Weim. Anyways I was really not expecting it to be him at all. I wish I would have gone down there BEFORE I posted flyers. I just really wanted to get them up before people started coming home from work.
Well... I wasn't 100% positive it was him since he lost so much weight, so after that I drove him to his most recent owners house so they could confirm it was him. They saw him and recognized him right away. They were very excited to see him and we chatted for a few minutes before I asked them to say goodbye. Both of them had tears in their eyes and SHE really broke down as she said goodbye to him. That made me feel better, I'm glad they did care for him and he wasn't just unloved there.
So I should get to spend all day tomorrow with him and then he'll be going to his new foster home on Thursday. It makes me sad that I can't keep him here for a while but I know he'll be very well taken care of where he's going.
I just want to thank everyone for all of their help and all of the offers. I didn't really have too much of a chance to respond earlier but I really do appreciate it. Please let me know if I can return the favor.
You guys are the BEST!! |
