and of course it was my fault
We'll we had people over for the Euro Cup final yesterday -- Germany lost My in-laws brought over their sheppy without mentioning it which would normally not be a bad thing but my hubby's godson was here and he is terrified of large dogs. I had decided to secure our guys in half of the house so that it wouldn't be a problem. I have done this numerous times when we've had babies or small children crawling around and it always works great. However, with the added dog, the "puppies" (the sheppy is only 18 months old) were having a hayday, being quite noisy and the sheppy kept crying to be with her people. I thought she should be ignored and would settle in but instead my MIL kept moving her to other rooms. It wasn't like they were that confined. They had our bedroom, the dining room, entrance and downstairs. Needless to say, Marvin didn't settle down wondering where the other dog was in his house. If he whined, I ignored it. I guess I ignored one whine too many and I glance over to see him squatting in his bed -- he never squats anymore and had this shame face. I interrupted him, took him out and praised the heck out of him for finishing outside but needless to say the bed needed to be washed and our accident free period was cleared to 0 days. |

| We are in an accident free zone at the moment. Taren is 12 weeks today. I refuse to move the steam cleaner from the middle of the hall for fear of jinxing it. |

I'm alright about it, really. It just sucked with a house full of people and on his nice heavy bed which took three loads to clean
If you believe in Murphy's Law scenarios, for us, buying the steam cleaner as part of our puppy shopping was a great move. We only had 2 carpet accidents during training but since then we have used it for human spills, visiting dogs and Zaphod's occasionally tummy upsets. |

| I really like having a carpet cleaner on hand. With 3 cats, 2 being long hair, someone is always horking up something disgusting. Not to mention the husband who can't seem to quit spilling his coffee on the carpet. |
