| Can they get poison ivy? Cache has something funny on his stomach. I just thought it was light abrasions from running through brush, but another weim owner at the dog park, said it is poison ivy. Any idea what I can put on it? |

| Yes, dogs can - usually only dogs with a short coat have a reaction. I'm not sure what you can put on it, but you probably will want to give a bath -- cool water and a good liqud dishwashing (such as Dawn) to remove any of the oil still on him. As long as there is oil on Cache, there is a chance you can get poison ivy from him. (You may want to wear gloves, too) |

Yep, you sure can get poison ivy from a dog. No fun either. I had it on both legs from my sons dog rubbing on me. It itches horribly and looks AWFUL. I still have red splotches and I got it over a month ago. Be careful. Signed, itchy and scratchy. |
