yea, the website is heart wrenching. Going to the shelters and seeing them is the worst though. Especially the real bad cases like my Bo, where they are all scabbed up, emaciated, and scared of their own shadows.
I would love to rescue a long hair! I want one of each, blue, silver, boy, girl, long, short! OMG, I need a farm! |

I think you guys would be surprised at how small my house is...it's the yard that makes the difference! |

I agree. I am in an apartment with 2 weims. Luckily, it's a basement apartment, and we have a 1/3 of an acre.
We live in 850 sq. feet. It's difficult to maneuver at times. |

Right now, about 1250 sq ft of livable space...but we plan on finishing the basement eventually (if John ever gets back to working in this area) which will probably add another 200 of so sq ft and we want to open our bedroom into the attic (kind of like a loft) that would add another 150 -200. That's a long term plan.
That's as far as we can go without changing the footprint of the house..and I don't want to do that. |

Yea if you don't count the loft where I sleep which is only used from 11pm till 5am, we are living in 700 sqft, with 2 adults, two kids, two dogs, two rabbits, and a rat.....you know I really feel like saying and a partirdge in a pear tree but that would be fibbing
It's very hard to maneuver. Our yard is 55x180 but it's not fenced so the dogs are on tie outs which stinks. The new house is going to be such a huge adjustment. It's about 2600sq ft and has about 1/2 an acre fenced. I am not going to know what to do with myself......besides get more dogs of course! |

My house is small and set up weird so it is so hard to get around. I think it might be around 1200 sq feet. My yard has plenty of room for them to run around though.
I've really had to adjust for them. The two crates take up so much room!
But I ended up not buying an entertainment center and just put boards on the two crates. One holds my TV, the other my speakers and my laptop. I try to make the most out of it. At least there's some room in my living room for them to play since I did that.
I already have a really long couch, but at the moment I'm squished at the end. Lucy's not even half way done growing yet! |

When my son moved out we turned his bedroom into the dog room. Jake's futon is basically the quest bed. Eddie still stays in that room when he comes, usually with his two dogs and his two nieces. |
