| I told my John once I put a deposit on a Vizsla litter, hey said oh yeah, guess we'll find out the difference between NJ and PA divorce laws... (he was divorced in NJ) I tried to put on my best poker face but he didn't believe me... |

John is home and met Link. I left him in the crate until John greeted our dogs. John went upstairs while to see him while I was outside and Link got scared and bit John's hand when he reached into the crate....not bad; But he obviously got scared when he saw a stranger.
Anyway all is well. Link has a different look than most weims and I couldn't put my finger on it. His head is kind of pit bull shaped. He has a shorter snout, that I thought was because he is young but John says his head is shaped a little different. He was bred in Barbados.
I HAVE to get some good pictures of him this weekend. He is a very good boy. He lays quietly in the crate. I'm afraid Silkie will hurt him so he has to be in the crate when we are in the house.
John is a little stressed about being home with all of them by himself tomorrow. He's not as good with multiple dogs as I am. |

This is kind of a shot in the dark, but given you mention he was bred in Barbados, there is a dog of spanish decent an old friend has, Presa Canario, which have a very disctinct head/snout which I'm thinking you might have in mind. I could be totally off, but take a look:

He'd be HUGE if he was cossed with a Presa! Imagine! Lynn thinks he's 6 months when really he's 3! LOL |

BAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
I just read this. ARE YOU FREAKING NUTS WOMAN!!!!???
Five!? OMG! the horror! And has John killed you yet?
Oh and Miss Ashley's head looks just like his. From the number of wiem's I've met, I've seen three different distinct linage's. There's the "bottle" noes, sleek, grayhoundish type. Then there is the wide forehead, short, stocky type. Then there is the kind of stockyish, tall, long legged, hunting dog type.
You're right. Silkie has the "bottle nose" very sleek, slender face. All three boys have the "box head". I have seen a couple weims with the shorter snout like Link, just not too many. |

No Indian, I'm still here..it was a close call though. Thank God the little guy is a very good boy.
No, it's a pit bull head shape we are thinking of...he is no less weim, just has a different type of head. Julie brought a little girl to my house a couple years ago. I think her name was Lexi. He looks like her. He reminded me of her the minute I saw him. He is such an awesome dog. I wish I could spend more time with him. I hope Julie finds someone for him soon. I hate that I have to keep him crated when we are in the house, even though he is so good about it.
I think I've made it so that he actually likes the crate..I feed him there, he gets lots of goodies in there; hot dogs, cheese, chicken. I leave the TV on for him all the time. He really isn't alone all that much as when we are home we are outside most of the time. And when I'm at work all the dogs are there.
Oddly, he seems more relaxed in the crate. It's the only time he settles down. He does have a nice soft blankie in there and some chew toys. |

I promise to post some good pics of him over the weekend. I am really starting to the little guy. (NO I WON'T BE KEEPING HIM, JUST GET THAT RIGHT OUT OF YOUR SILLY HEADS ) But I will be very nosy about who gets him.
But he is so sweet. I wish he would quit bugging Silkie so I could let him run around the house. But I kind of think the big dogs make him a little nervous when they are all in the house. Maybe too confined an area and he feels like if something happens he has no where to run??? He's fine outside.
They wouldn't stay outside this morning (all five just standing at the back door) so I tried to leave him out in the house with them while I had my coffee and Silkie had a rope toy. And he kept trying to take it from her I thought she was going to rip his little head off. So, for his own safety...back in the crate he went.
Somebody is going to be very lucky to have such a good dog. |

| He needs somewhere to hid to get away from the biggin's. I used to flip up the recliner on the couch so Storm could hide under there to get away from Sky when he was little'r. Oh no... tell Silkie we like Link w/ his head ON, please. Give him a hug for me! |

You know, its unlucky to have an odd number of weims... So you should just go out and get another one so that you have SIX!!
Really though, good luck with him. I hope he finds a home soon. He seems like a sweetie.
And get us some good pics already!!! seeesh!! |
