Athens is a kill shelter; shelters in GA are overloaded right now, and the risk of euthing is very high. I'm hoping someone has already stepped up, but if not, this guy will need help...

Hey everyone. My mother passed away a few weeks ago from a heart attack. I am here trying to adopt out her dogs before they have to go to animal control. Her husband decided he wouldn't/coudln't keep them and I definitely can not. I am not sure about the whole adoption fee thing, so I guess they will have a $20 adoption fee, plus I will check vet references. Please call me about the dogs, I have no computer access right now. This is a really hard time for me, my dad, and siblings so please only call if you are really interested. My name is Catherine.
Great Dane: He is one year old. I would say abotu 110lbs, with about 30 more pounds to gain. Pretty big boY. Very sweet, but can be timd sometimes. He is great with kids, but I would NOT recommend placing him with another large male. Females are great, and he is fine with children although he has energy and may knock down a small one. He is fully housebroken, and UTD on all shots. Yes, pure bred great dane and he is fawn colored. I have a few records on where he was purchsed I found in my moms files.
Great Pyrenees: If I could keep one of these dogs, he would be it. He is huge and has the most beautiful pue white coat!! He is about 1 year also, and does NOTHING but lay around the house all day. He will even sleep with you if you want him too. Fully housebroken of course, and he LOVES kids, I mean loves them. He will lay with kids all day and night and is so gentle. PLEASE keep in mind pyrenees do shed, so if anyone has allergies he would be the worst choice every. But if you want a dog who is going to lay around all day, is satisfied with never ever taking a walk but appreciates them if you give them, and want a great protector for the kids, please call about him. NO OTHER LARGE MALES unless they are NEUTERED.
Weimaraner: Much smaller than the other two at about 70lbs. He is so sweet with one major problem: there is no confining him!! He can get out of any crate fence or anything you put him in! So if you are gone like 12 hours a day, he would not be a good choice. Perfect for an active family thats wants a dog who loves to go hiking or camping, barely sheds, and is otherwise low maintenace as far as grooming. He is about 2. She had AKC papers on him, and if I can find them you are welcome to them. Oh, and he is fully house broken and great with children.
I am in Athens, Ga. All of these dogs, as you see are 100% housebroken, good with kids and UTD on shots. I need them to go to indoor homes, since there is no reason to keep them outside since all the training has been done from you. They are also all crate trained.
