Benny is my 4 yr old weim very laid back, Brody is my 21 month old weim, another sweetie but still alot of puppy.
Here is the problem/event that happens every time I let them outside. Benny will go out the door 1st because Brody will chase after him and bite at Benny's legs,(never draws blood, just mouths him). If Brody goes out 1st Benny will not go out the door because he knows that Brody will go after him.... After they go through this routine, they do their business play, run around, visit with the dogs next door, and come back inside.
Also if I just mention "Do you guys want to go outside" Brody will go and round up Benny by mouthing him and getting him up from whatever he is doing. If I try to just let Brody outside by his self, he will just stay at the door and beg to come back in. If I let Benny outside by his self, Brody is going crazy inside running back and forth between the windows, and the doors begging to go out.
Oh one more thing, if Benny has a ball or bone that Brody wants, he will pace a the door wanting to go out, when I head for the door he immediately rounds up Benny to go with him, and Benny drops the item that Brody wants, and Brody then picks it ups and looks at Benny like ha ha ha.....(but the silly thing about it, is I don't let him take the item outside)
This is driving me insane, do you have any suggestions?

Don't give in to your puppy.
The bitting is puppy stuff. He'll eventually grow out of it or Benny will put him in his place.
You could treat or praise Benny for going out on his own accord and if he still doesn't go, gently push Benny out the door and praise him.

When Brody begs to come in, do you let him inside? -If so, I would stop immediately. Your teaching him that begging and whining at the door is okay. Has Brody ever been conditioned to being left alone?

That's just more puppy stuff. If it really bothered you, you could always take the object away from Brody and give it back to Benny. If Brody attempts to take it, give a loud "NO" command to startle Brody. |

Yes, Brody is conditioned to be by his self, in fact, during working hours Brody is kenneled and Benny has free roam. Brody is kenneled at bed time too. (his kennel is in my bedroom).
Brody just thinks he needs to go outside with Benny. Its weird.
