I'm freaking out a little bit. My boyfriend took our puppy to the vet today because we noticed a few bumps on her head. There were 2 last night and 6 or more this morning so we knew she didnt just bump her little head somewhere. The bumps are very small (maybe 1/3 or 1/4 the size of a pencil eraser) and they dont seem to bother her. They are under the skin. She lets us touch them and look at them and doesnt appear to even know that they are there (no scratching or rubbing her head on the ground). The vet said it could be an allergic reaction to something and to give her benadryl (fine) but also said it could be puppy strangles and that it was too early to determine. She made it sound like its not a big deal. I looked up information online and IT IS A BIG DEAL! I'm worried about my baby Has anyone out there experienced this? Thanks...... |

| not in dogs, but we had a whole barn in quarantine when I was a teenager due to an outbreak with some horses brough in from another state...it's like strep throat, and just like in children, it CAN be a big deal...but if you guys stay on top of it (treatment-wise) things should be okay... |

Banshee has a few bumps on the top of her head, and the front of her neck. They are tiny and under the skin and don't seem to bother her either. I have been giving her benedryl and it seems to help, but it has been a week and they are not entirely gone. I think it might be from a different brand of yogurt I bought, so I stopped giving it to her, and I'm thinking I should just stop on the yogurt altogther. I'm not sure what it is, but I'll be taking her to the vet this week if it doesn't improve.
