bleeding nose..

We left Ruby with my mother in law for a few days and have just picked her up tonight. When I gave her hello kisses she didn't really seem her excited self, and then I noticed I had blood all over my jumper as she was bleeding from her nose. I asked the MIL about it and she said she had noticed it was a bit bloody that afternoon so I just left it thinking that one of the older dogs had given her a scratch. I kept checking up on her and the bleeding didn't stop over the next two hours. I took her coat off and she's lost weight over the weekend and a bit slow lethargic. Allan thinks this is just her being pooped from playing with the other dogs though!!
I don't want to be a worried dog owner so I'm leaving it until morning to see how she is, then call the vet.
I've never known dogs to get bleeding noses like Ruby's before that why I'm worried!!

My dog always loses weight when I leave him places and is always exhausted when he comes home.

He just eats better when he is with me. Its really stressful for them when you leave, even if they stay at a place that they know. So between the playing and the stress they lose weight too.

Hope his nose gets better too.

She has lost quite a bit of weight you can see her hip bones sticking out quite a bit. Apparently she was only being fed once a day (2 cups) of food. I told said this wasn't enough - I usually feed her about 4 cups split in two because she's growing so much being a 4 month old puppy!!
I'm keeping her quiet today, the bleeding has stopped (thank goodness!) but she's really tender on her snout and it's a little swollen.
I missed her terribly and am going to spoil her rotten today!! Smile
