We're such bad dog owners

I want to start by saying thank you all for your kind words. Yes Heidi is getting lots of hugs.

Well the vet said Heidi is fine...cleaned up the few scrapes and cuts she had and checked all her teeth to make sure none were loose(she has a nasty cut on her lower jaw and a huge fat lip.. she now has the big mouth that you see on some Weim's. She has very little left of her back toe nails. Her lungs and heart as well as her temperature are fine. We are very lucky the vet said most dogs that go over are either drowned or have many broken bones and usually have to be put down. She said the Weim's natural instinct to swim and the sheer speed she propelled herself over is what saved her. I thank god she is alright.

Wrench will leap off of anything without fear ....we where reminded about this yesterday when at a park he followed Michael up on a jungle gym and instead of following Michael the rest of the way he made a 4 foot leap that could have broken a leg...he's fine but it worries me!

Thank goodness she is okay. Your quick thinking saved her. These dogs do some kooky & unexpected things, so don't be too hard on yourself.
