Well for the first time in that car on that track, Not to awful bad.
My heat race I was running 5th when I got a little to happy with the loud pedal and spun in turn 3. Then on the restart going into turn 1 my throttle stuck wide open! Had to hit the kill switch and coast to the infield and watch the rest of the heat from my car...finished high enough to transfer to the feature.
My feature, Started 19th...ended 19th. Didn't wreak the car, didn't finish last, and drove it onto the trailer at the end of the night with very little paint scraped off. Not a bad first night with no seat time in the car or on the track. That's no small feat guys, for a rookie in stock car racing. We'll get faster as we get the set-up figured and I get more comfy in the car.
On a side note. The race announcer talked about tri-state specifically and the charity work we are doing for Tri-state and what they are all about. People got some information, Tri-state got some good publicity so all good there. People are very encouraging about what I'm doing and are generally interested. So all in all, An AWSOME night for us all!
Oh btw....winnings=$20.00..the donation fund is now at $20.00.
Also just checking out Woodhull's web page and race results. I was the top finishing rookie driver in my division. So not so bad.....lol. Like I said, We'll get faster. |

WTG!!!
Glad you're ok after you first race and so excited that TSWR got some publicity and a beginning to the "fund!"
Was watching Oprah's Big Give finale and I thought of you raising money and awareness for our gray babies!
Thanks so much for getting the word out.
have an awesome season!! |

Sounds like you had fun; and it's awesome that the rescue is getting exposure.
Nothing better than dogs and cars. I was at the annual local mud runs here today, and it was a blast. I love the smell of exhaust in the Spring! LOL |
