Has anyone had any experiance with inner eyelid problems?
Wrench has what the vet said a bit of curled over inner eye lid...it had gotten irritated when we took him to the beach last and we got some eye flush from the pet store for it which she said was the right thing to do.
it's just a little bit in the corner of one eye and mostly it is not swollen or red anymore , the vet gave us an ointment to apply a few times a day and we have without fail....
When we haven;t just messed with it it looks fine though you can see a little bigger in that corner than the other. It's been a week and not gone though, we go for another apointment in 2 weeks from today and the vet said it would be fine to wait till then to check up on it...it's not bothering or hurting him or his eye at all but I also don't want it to get worse and would like it to be better.
Any advice or your own stories on this experiance would be helpful.
Thanks. |

is Wrench still having any issues with his eye? We recently adopted a 5yo weim and she seems to have the same thing you're describing here. Our vet too a look at it and determined it doesn't look infected but prescribed an ointment as a safety precaution. We've been doing the ointment and it hasn't changed anything. It doesn't seem to bother her or seem to affect her vision. So I think we're just gonna keep an eye on it (no pun intended ) give us an update on how things are looking with Wrench. |

It sounds like it could be a condition called and Entropion or diamond eye. it's where the inner eyelid rolls in and contacts the cornea. Can cause irritation and extra tearing
You will have to see what happens are he gets older. They usually don't get better on their own if that is what it is. Can be quite common in the weim.
Hope his eye is ok!! |

| He finally had to have surgery on it because at times it would not even be noticable and then times would flare up and swell and red....then once it flared up and didn't go back down so we had it fixed...our vet that we found that we love said it can cause blindness if left ...it doens't fix on it's own generally. |
