| So Bonnie and Butler are almost 8 months old and they are both hoovering around 25" at withers and 70ish lbs. My mom is convinced they are almost done growing, but they both (esp Butler) have quite a lot of loose skin. I have noticed he has only gained about 2 lbs in the past 3 weeks and he was growing like CRAZY before that. I have heard they grow until 14 months, I'm just wondering how MUCH more we can expect them to grow, because I told my mom how many people tell me that Butler is going to be 85+ lbs based on his size now, but is there really any way to tell? Can he possibly put on 15 lbs of healthy weight at this point? |

Well, Kam is almost 1 1/2 and he still has a TON of loose skin! We got him when he was about 10mos, and he has definitely NOT grown in height, but he has put on weight. I'm thinking by around 2 he should've grown out of his lanky stage that he's in right now.
I don't think there's really a way to tell how big they will eventually be, especially when they're pups. 70ish pounds sounds like a decent size. |

| Bonnie is probably very close to her adult size but Butler could certainly continue with skeletal growth up until he is 14 months old and after that he will continue to fill out and gain muscle. |

| Chevy gained about 10 pounds from 8 months to just over a year. But that's her. They are all different. I would say a few more pounds. |

| One way to kind of tell is to look at the parents as its inherited. The more generations they have of a particular size and the closer bred the more consistency you get. The more outcrossed, the less you can predict. |

Marley hasn't gained more than a few pounds from 9 months until now (1 year). She's at 65 pounds now and 27" tall. She has a lot of loose skin too and her parents were larger, but she looks great.
I have also heard that they stop getting taller, but fill out more between 1 and 2 years. |
