Does anyone know of these videos, "Training the upland flushing dog" ? Are they worth buying, found them for $10 a piece so I probably can't go wrong huh.

Well, if they are "Flushing dog videos" then you might want to save your money. What you want are Geoge H's pointing dog videos.

What about George Hickox in general. He has several pointing videos as well. Guess what I should have said was "Has anyone used George Hickox style of training and what did they think about it"?

Yes George H. is a good trainer and his program will work. I also Like Sherry ray eberts video on gun dog training. It has a lot of good info in it too. Most of the videos and books are very similar for pointing dog training with a little personal variation thrown in. For example, Sherry Ray uses a barrel to start whoa training on and then transitions to the ground and starts throwing pigeons around the whoaed dog to entice it to break during early training. Another trainer(I can't remember his name...I am an old man Laughing ) uses paper plates thrown frisbee style to entice the whoa'd dog to break. For first timers, I usually suggest Paul Longs book. It is pretty straightforward and is not heavy on electricity training.
