Alright, I thought I'd give you folks something to ponder. (I found it comical...)
I have been working with her backing...but not extensively. Well, today we are on a casual walk and I meet a couple with a standard poodle and they asked about hunting/retrieving. Well as we are talking, something captures the poodle's attention and he abruptly turns around. Danni takes one step forward and *BOOM* she is in a staunch point! They thought it awesome and they began asking about weims, etc...
We couldn't figure out what the poodle was looking at but I guess Danni was backing him...hell I don't know! *sigh*
What do you folks think? |

The answer is maybe. There is a big difference on the street and in the field and dogs know it. Odds are, you do have a natural, but the only way to know for sure is in the field w/ birds. |
