This particular course is an AAC (agility association of Canada) Jumpers course. we also have NADAC and CKC courses.
In AAC there are
Standard - using all the equipment in a pre-set course
Jumpers - pre-set course with no contacts
Snooker - make your own course to earn maximum points
Gamblers - make your own course but your dog has to work at a distance
Team - with two dogs on the same course
The dogs start off in STARTERS (beginner). You need 3 "Q's", or perfect runs, in each of these events before you can move up to ADVANCED. You need 3 more Advanced "Q's" in each to move up to MASTERS.
It is possible to be a Starters dog in one event, and a Masters dog in another. It all depends on your dogs talent as there is always one event you and your dog are better at than others.
