I feed grey three times a day 1 1/2 cups. My girlfriend thinks its too much and always tried to give him less when im not around. I just don't want an underfed or overfed dog, How do I find the happy Median.

4 and a half cups daily that's roughly what i feed Charlie but he's on 2 meals.
your dog will let you know whats right for him. some people feed up to 6 cups a day some only feed 2 its down to the dog and the food you are feeding the more filler in it the more they tend to eat.
i only changed Charlie down to 2 feeds because he was leaving most of his lunch time feed but if 3 feeds a day is working and he healthy in all aspects then i wouldn't change anything. |

| Duke (6 months and 56 lbs) gets about 4-4 1/2 cups a day and is on Canidae. I notice that some days he doesn't finish it all and other days he acts like he's still starving and I will give him a bit more because I figure he's getting ready to go thru a growth spurt. He is a rather slow/picky eater so I don't worry about him over eating too much. I give 2 cups in the am/2 cups in the pm and about another 1/2 cup for a late night snack before bed so he doesn't get the pukies in the morning. He's definitely not a morning eater and it usually takes him a while to finish his morning meal. |

| Bailey (soon to be 5 70lbs) only gets about 3 cups a day. He is on Canidae and tends to fill him up more than the other food he was getting. My pup gets (4 1/2 months) about 4 cups a day since she is still growing. |

| Jasper is almost 7 months and about 60lbs and gets six cups a day. He is on science diet which has more fillers, but was the easiest on his belly. Two cups for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. |

| Kinda need to find what works for your dog. I just recently cut Kam back to 4 c from 5-6/day because he reached his ideal weight (he was very skinny when we got him). But I noticed that he seems to have lost a bit of weight so I went back to 5c/day (3 in am, 2 in pm). I also include pumpkin & yogurt with his am feeding and an egg in the pm, along with some digestive enzymes. |

Jaeger is 7 months old and is fed 4 cups of Eagle Pack a day (split into 2 meals)
I adjust this amount according to how he is looking (skinnier, 'heavier', etc) |

| It depends on the food and the individual dog. What works for one dog, may or may not work for another. One thing to keep in mind is it is better to keep a dog a little skinny, as opposed to a overweight. |
