Thank for asking Heidi. Bless your heart.
We're doing good. I think about her constantly and just about every move Chloe makes I compare to Shotz, but it's in a good light. My husband and I talk about her often and usually laugh about one of her escapades. My family still calls Chloe Shotz about every visit and they look at me like they've screwed up but i don't mind at all.
I swear Shotz must have hand picked Chloe because thier personality and mannerisms are so similar. It feels really good to talk about her. She was such a wonderful baby. She really felt that we'd saved her and she was bound and determined to make it up to us. Her love and loyalty was so humbling. |

| I'm so sorry to hear about Shotzy. I hope your family and Chloe are doing well. There is no doubt she knew how much she was loved. |

My heart aches for you Vikki and your family. Though I know your pain, it still isnt enough.
I worked at a no kill shelter for two years and when I started, there was this precious female by the name of Asia. Everything in me, the instant I saw her pulled to her. For six months I would lay with her and just talk to her until one day she sniffed me. We fell in love with each other and she just adored Turkish. One day, my girlfriend had mentioned that she wanted to rescue a dog and Asia, of course was on my heart. I had introduced Carol to Asia and that was all I had to do. It took an additional 6 months of weening her into not just leaving the kennel into a home, but Carols home. Everyother night I would take her with me from the shelter and we would first stay at my house with Carol. Then we would go to Carols and stay until one day, she decided she wanted to stay. It was the most beautiful thing. Asia, was abused so bad, to the point that she would be in knots and we would have to massage them out. She would also shake so bad and get so tense, that she would poo herself, and usually me... we wuold be watching tv and someone would come in, and there it was, poo . After about a year, all of the love she had pent up overflowed from her. About 6 months ago, Asia, Turkish and I were at the park in what I though was an enclosed area. Somehow she ened up on the opposite side of the fence. It tool me and Turkish about 10 minutes to find her. Turkish led me to a whole in the fence and along the hwy. There she was, in the median, scared. I tied Turkish up and waited for a break in traffic, then she heard Turkish's collar and went for it. That day, Carol, Turkish and I lost someone so precious and dear to us. It took a while to realize that the year she spent knowing us, she had the best and probably unexpected life, she deserved.
Like I said, I know how you feel but it still isnt enough. It hurts, but it does sound to me, that you guys saved her and loved her more than she could have ever known. You had blessed her life as she has blessed and enriched yours. Asia's legacy will live for as long and my heart beats, and for that, I will continue to smile because of her.
God Bless You and your family Vikki.
cheers

This is one of the saddest threads I've read here. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. My heart aches for all of you. I read about Boh-gy a long time ago on his owners site and cried my eyes out.
I hope they are all playing together at the rainbow bridge. Maybe they have my Polly with them. |
