Very Happy

Age: 7 months old
Product name, size and cost: Eagle Pack Holistic Select Large Breed Puppy, 16.5lb bag (I usually buy the 33lb but they didnt have it in stock), don't choke at the price... I pay AU67 which is equivalent to $US60
Daily amount fed: 4 cups
How long does the bag last: roughly 3 weeks (33lb bag lasts him 6 weeks)
Average cost of feeding/week: US$20
Anything to add: Diet is supplemented daily with cooked pumpkin and weekly with sardines and bones. Just switched him over from the regular EP which he thrived on.. and since this has even better ingredients I hope that means he does even better!

Age: 7 months old
Product name, size and cost: Medi-Cal Adolescent Formula, 33 lbs
Daily amount fed: 6 cups
How long does the bag last: 4 weeks
Average cost of feeding/week: $15 CAN
Anything to add: He shares our morning yogurt by cleaning out the plastic cups

We're thinking of switching to adult food when the current food is all gone (1.5 months left). Breeder suggested Kirkland which
would be $28 including Costco membership and locally, I can get Canidae at $60 CAN for 40 lbs. I'm looking around at other brands too...decisions, decisions.

Age: 6 years (loves to eat) Ben and 1.5? years (picky eater) Elsa

Product name, size and cost: Timberwolf Organics, price depends on the flavor I pick, as I rotate them out. 33 lbs can run from $59USD to $66USD

Daily amount fed: 1 cup in the morning, 1 cup in the night, various handfuls during the day for obedience

How long does the bag last: 1 bag = 1/2 month

Average cost of feeding/week: Who knows, it's just money, and for all the love they give me, I don't really track it

Anything to add: Sometimes I feel like I don't feed a whole lot, but Elsa's small, and Ben's not as active. I think they are a healthy weight. They love a little bit of yogurt or canned pumpkin. If they get really spoiled, every once in a while I'll open up a can of Wet Canidae food for them to have with dogfood.

Age: Holly - 9 months

Product name, size and cost: We rotate Canidae -40lb for $35, Solid Gold - 33lb for $44, EVO- 28lb for $50

Daily amount fed: 1.5 cups per feeding at 3 meals per day = 4.5 cups daily

How long does the bag last: estimated 1 month

Average cost of feeding/week: $10 a week

Anything to add: She gets a variety of fruits and veggies through out the day, usually whatever I'm eating. 2-3 times a week I mix 1 whole raw egg into her kibble. The other days I mix yogurt 1 time a day. She also gets any left over meats we have for dinner, which isn't a lot. Maybe 8 oz. a week.

Age: Wrigley- will be 9 months

Product name, size and cost: Eagle Pack Large Breed puppy food, 40lb bag runs about $39 from our local vet

Daily amount fed: 3-4 cups (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening; sometimes he doesn't eat all of it though)

How long does the bag last: about six weeks (need to go get some today actually!)

Average cost of feeding/week: $10.00

Anything to add: He gets biscuits for going potty outside only one, and sometimes in his kong...Purina Pro Plan Rice and Lamb....(new to him for about two weeks, so far no problems; we used to use his food but he got to smart for that!), PB in his Kong about once a week (organic PB), mixture of hot dogs, cheese, and kibble for training treats. I would add blankets pillows, socks and undies, but that is an entirely different post!!
