Sheena Weim Forever in my heart |

We had to put down our loving Weimaraner Sheena on 1/25/08. In her last week of life, she went downhill fast until she would just lie down and not move or eat. The vet said it was time for her to go. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I can't believe my 4 month old puppy was now 10 and dying. Time went too fast. We held her and sobbed as she was going to sleep. My constant companion is now gone and I am devistated. Sheena was the most loving, intelligent, happy dog I have ever known. The house seems so emply now and I am always expecting so see her laying on the couch.
We have decided to get another Weimaraner and currently have a deposit down with a breeder. We should have him/her (haven't decided yet) by April. This eases the pain a little as I am excited to have another little one. Sheena will always have a place in my heart and I'm sure my new Weim will have a place too. |

Welcome to the board, you will have a lot of people thinking about you and your family, as many of us have been there before. I'm so sorry for your loss. It is sad that they can't stay with us longer.
Sheena sounded like a very special girl and she was lucky to have a mom that loved her so much.
I'd love to see pictures of her whenever you get a chance. |

I am so sorry for your loss. I recently had to put my golden down too. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do. Bailey was lost and I kept waiting to hear a big thump on my bedroom floor every night (still do sometimes). We ended up getting a another puppy a month after losing Thor. It really helped my husband and I out along with the kids and fur kids.
Good luck with your new puppy. |

| I lost my weim last May and it was so hard, for at least a month I was going around in a daze. It does get easier, but I still have days where I wake up and expect her to be nudging me to go outside. We adopted a male weim about two months after losing her and it does help, I felt guilty at first, but then I realized my love for Clyda made me rescue another weim that really needed us and now I am totally in love with a small weim named Presley and I am an officer with our local rescue group. www.weimrescue.com. |

I hope this new puppy brings you all the joy Sheena did. I'm sure she'll have a hand in picking from up above |

I am so sorry for your lost. She sounds like a wonderful friend and companion... and the pictures of her are beautiful.
It is obvious that you loved her very much while she was here, and that you still do love her. I'm sure you have many happy memories of her and know that those memories will bring smiles when you think of her.
A new puppy is a great addition... and this puppy, too, will be loved very much. There is always room in our hearts -- room for our pups who are here and those who have gone to live forever... |
