The wellness line is great, I've tried the original one and Uno liked it, but I hear good things about core as well, worth a try.

Thanks!! I just picked up a bag of Canidae dog food at the organic market. I am thinking about switching up every once in awhile.

I was wondering about this...
My husband always yells at me when I come home with a different bag of food--even different flavors of the same brand. I never had a problem switching foods with my dogs, but my husband thinks it's not a good idea and can upset their tummies. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I havent heard of anyone having problems rotating brands when the dog is used to them, they came out with a new wellness core fish formula recently, so I might give that a try since my pup has so many allergies.

For those of you using Wellness Core are you still supplementing with yogurt since it has probiotics in the formula?

I feed Luna the original CORE and it is working great for her. Solid predictable #2's, shiny coat, no ear infections in months <fingers crossed>, no more itchy dog, she doesn't stink at all.. I am very happy with it. I do still need to clean her ears about every week to 2 weeks but I think I just have a dirty ear dog - it's always just dirt now though, no smelly stuff.
I did quit giving her Kiefer with her supper when I made the switch - part of that was to see if the dairy was part of the problem, and partly because I wanted to see how she would do on just the CORE alone since it did have the probiotics in it already. Since she's been doing so well I chose not to re-introduce the Kiefer. |
