ermm... no worries about bouncing.. at least tonight at anyrate. My poor poor puppy!!

So he is home.. and can kind of stand. He is still really under the drugs I think. When I came in (my in laws picked him up from the vet till I got home) he barked twice and tried to come to me.. it was sooo sad. His tail was just going so fast but his front feet came right out from under him and he plopped down onto the floor. He is really slow moving.

He did go potty and poo outside when they got him home so that's good. But, my mother in-law went down to the basement for something and left the door open.. he went to follow her and he fell down the stairs!!

He's ok though.. I don't think he fell too hard because he was going so slow on them to start with. So, we decided it was just best to keep him down there on his pillow and I'll just stay with him and take him out the garage to go potty. Puplexed

Well we are doing much better today. He is still really sleepy but he can at least walk now. He 'falls' to the floor when he goes to lay down.. not sure why, but that's what he is doing. He is doing 'ok' with the stairs now also but I'm keeping my eye on that.. he's a bit weak still.

I took the time to read the entire write up from the vet. Turns out that the hiden testicle was pretty large and twice the size of the one that actually did drop. There was a good chance that cancer was going to be forthcoming so I'm really happy we got that taken care of.

I'm pretty sure he will be back to normal tomorrow.. and then I'll have to spend all my time calming him down so he doesn't un-glue his tummy.

He got stiches where the one testicle was taken off and then they glued the skin on his tummy. The vet felt that he would lick it less and it would be more comfortable for him than stiching it.. that makes me a bit nervous but so far the vet has been right.. he has yet to lick the glue.. but I get on him now and then for licking the sstiches.

They had to shave a bit of his tummy!!! Can't wait for that to grow back in he looks cold. Razz

Wrench has that too...he was diagnosed with it on his breeders vet visit before we got him so he is also considered pet quality because it's a fault to breed him...it goes down the line . It's called Cryptorchidism according to my vet papers on him and what I also showed my own vet, who agreed he did have it though still had the slightest chance they could drop, however if not by 6 months to a year at the latest then wouldn't at all and they can get cancers and other problems if you leave them unfixed if they have that...

Since we plan to fix him anyways we aren't bothered by it at all and our vet said the worst is that it can be more of a spay than a nueter depending on how far they have to search for them. So cost wise too we are just looking at the costs of what a spay would be instead of what is a usually cheaper nueter.
