Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to share some of Roxie’s latest good news. She attended her 2nd IABCA show a couple weekends ago and earned her next championship! She is now “Nat/Int JA Fairhaven’s Blue Sky’s the Limit”. The JA stands for Jugend which is the 9-14 mos age group. She earned this title by receiving four out of four SG1 (Excellent) ratings in her class. She also went advanced on to place 2nd in Group in two of those shows.
This show, unlike the last one, her blue coat was treated as a variety therefore she showed alone in the Breed class since she was the only blue entered. She then met up with her gray friends in Group.
Here is the only “show” pic we took this time. Pictured left to right are:
Liz Fairlee, Fairhaven’s Weimaraner (Roxie’s breeder)
Debbie Hopkins, Top Hat Weimaraner (Roxie’s sire’s breeder and handler)
Tate, my hubby
Me
The lighting in this location was HORRIBLE and no one got any really good quality photos. But in case you want to take a look-see, here is the link to some of the better shots: http://www.flickr.com/gp/66999112@N00/844257 There were a couple of photographers roaming around taking random pictures and they were kind enough to gives me the link so I could download the ones I liked.
The next show is in September and she will go for the NEXT puppy title Junghund (15-18 mos). IABCA shows are different than AKC shows. Here is the link for more info: http://www.iabca.com/ or feel free to ask, I’m getting to know it better each time we go. |

Congratulations!! You must be SO proud! She's just a lovely girl and she shows with pizzazz!
... looking through your flickr pictures, there was a shot with three dogs lined up. The 3rd dog to the right, is it a weim, too? It's coat color, I thought seemed reddish (vizsla?) ... but it could just be poor lighting.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS! She's just beautiful! |

Yes, that was a Vizsla. It was the Group competition. It goes Roxie to the far left, Jeter the gray Weim in the middle then that pesky Vizsla on the right.

That's all Debbie, the handler. She can make any dog stack beautifully. Of course, we did spend quite a bit of time in conformation classes with her she she can learn what she's supposed to do. Roxie doesn't stack as well for my hubby. Debbie doesn't take any Sh$t from the dogs and they listen to her. She rocks! |
