Poor boy. When I do the bank run, I stop home to let them out. Poor old man must have had to go. He pooped in the dog room. He has NEVER had the runs before though. I'm sure it's the anti-cancer diet he is on. Almost no carbs. I will give him a little pumpkin tonight and some oatmeal in the morning...maybe every third day or so, I'll do that.
He seemed fine though...ran and played in the yard until I called them in. |

Doesn't your heart feel so sad when you know they aren't feeling 100%. Poor guy.
Cooper use to have the runs alot, we switched him on to a new food made by Medi-Cal (only sold at through the Vet) and the gastro diet type. He hasn't had any problems since. |

Awww, Lynn. Poor Jake...I feel ya. I've had a yard full of runnie poopies since all mine have been on the doxy. I'm waiting now for anal gland problems
I'm sure the pumpkin will make him feel better.
I bought up all the pumpkin at my neighborhood Kroger. I had to venture on over to Food Lion today to pick up more for the two who are still on the doxy... |

Poor Jake-I know you are counting your blessings-if thats the worst that came from all this then that's ok-you can deal. Tell him we are thinking of him and his old girlfriend Carly sends him a big smooch! |

| Glad he's feeling better Lynn. I like oatmeal for carbs and it has stomach soothing properties as well becuase of the muscilage. You may also want to give him some slippery elm. It's very soothing to the gut, and quite healthy. I always have it on hand and used it a lot whenweaning the puppies, just because it's healthy and it helped thicken the goats milk, but also to make the new food more easy to digest and get used to. |

| You can get it at a healthfood store. My favorite is Tree Bark Gruel from Naturalrearing.com. Tree Bark Gruel has slippery elm and other good stuff in there like marshmallow. |
