He must have had 60 or more staples in him. It took forever to get them all out. The vet tech laid on the floor under him (picture and oil change) while John held his head and I had the rear. We had to muzzle him for everyone's protection. He was not happy about that. All but a few came out pretty easily. His skin had healed a little over some in the center of the incision...ouch. But all in all, he was a good boy. We took him to Pet Valu for some special treats. He was like a kid in a candy store.
I am still amazed at how well he is doing. And I can't believe how the vet that did the surgery ( who we know very well and trust) had him at death's door. I am not taking one single minute with him for granted.

Yay for Jake! The fact he healed so fast and is ready to bite vet techs is a good good sign!
