I was just curious, I have read where you are adding yougurt to the
food and also freezing in the Kong. Is there any particular flavor
or does it have to be plain. I had some strawberry banana I was
thinking about using, but I wanted to check what everyone else was using. |

don't use the flavors...most of them have artificial sweetner in them, which can be fatal to dogs or contain sugar.
The best kind is plain, low-fat unsweetened yogurt. This is a challange for me to find. I haven't been able to find it in any grocery store around here...I have to go to a healthfood store to get it.
God knows, a weim doesn't need ANY added sugar to their diets! |

Thank you sooooo much for the information. I was fixing to do a bad
thing for my baby. I will eat the stawberry Banana, but give him
plain only. |

our krogers and meijers carry dannon plain.
in a pinch my folks will feed vanilla to theirs - his reaction to no yogurt is bad enough to risk a reaction to yogurt. anyway, no problems there so far. |

ours carry the Dannon plain too, but Dannon plain is not sugar-free...I was really surprised that "plain" yougurt is not "sugar-free" or if it is, it has aspartame in it |

| I have no problem finding it. I get mine at the Walmart by my house. I forget the brand but it's real cheap, 2 dollars for a quart, and it's "Low-Fat Unsweetened Plain Yogurt." It's right by the flavored yogurts, usually lower down, and there's never more than one or two of them. I had to dig around all the flavored quarts to find it. |

I found where they have the 1qt size at Walmart but of course they
were out.
Do you just give it to them in their bowl and how much do you give them.
I did mix one of the small ones with some penut butter and put it in
his kong and froze it, I forgot to give it to him while I was at lunch,
He had visitors today as it is his 1st Birthday. My parents are over
my house and they are hanging out with the Birthday boy until I get
off work.
I will save the Kong for later this evening or tomorrow. |
