I could just kill her. Daisy is making me NUTS the past few days. Eating EVERYTHING, nothing I do or don't do matters, she'll openly defy me and accept any consequences.
I no longer have the desire to kiss my mutt, due to the preference of kitty litter and toilet water at all times, with a full food and water dish down.
I'm ready to pawn her off on every tom, dick, and harry around!
When people say she's "pretty", I reply with "wanna babysit"
Oui Vey, today is a rough one, I really need help to deal with my looney weimie today! |

| Well she IS pretty! She looks so much like my Duke I can't get over it. He loves toilet water too, so I always keep the bathroom doors closed. Last night I was at my wits end with him too! He is so good all day long, then night time comes and he goes wild. Sometimes I wonder if it's something in the treats I give him? It seems like after having treats he goes bonkers.... I dunno if it's just that we usually do treats in the afternoon/evening or purely coincidental. |

Daisy doesn't get treats, because she has a sensitive digestive tract. Only ice cubes, which she loves. I have 6 kids during the day, 2 of which are 2yo boys who are potty training, leaving the bathroom door closed is not an option.
I know it's a culmination of things that are making me crazy right now, but she seems to be adding the straw that's breaking the camel's back! |

at night, perhaps you can boobytrap one of the bathrooms so she gets attacked by the toilet seat.
one or two "attacks" may be enough to scare her off. |

| I'm starting to notice that Duke is pretty sensitive to foods. I tried training with hot dogs and noticed that every time I did he got diarrhea and vomitted. I threw those away. Is there any treats I could give that would be easier on him? Alot of trainers use cheese but that makes him a bit gassy. |

small kids would be attacked during their nightly trips to the toilet and I'd be buying diapers forever... LOL
That's funny though, hadn't thought of that...
Actually, at night, she is stuck in my room with us. It's in the a.m. when she comes in from outside (she's also breaking the hinges on my door scratching so much with her weight on it) that she goes straight for the litter box and toilet water. It just irritates me that she'll drink from the toilet when she has a full dish of clean water! |

Can you keep the lid closed on the toilet seat? We do keep the doors shut, but ALWAYS put the seat lid down just in case...The littler box: When I had cats and dogs living together, I got the kind of litter box with the lid on it and turned the opening towards a corner where the cats could get in, but the dogs couldn't...worked like a charm.
As far as the treats, mine are sensitive to hot dogs and cheese too...I make my own. I can make them as small or as large as I like, and the ones I make for my guys have no wheat or corn. I use rice flour and rye flour, and they love them |

| She just got out of her crate for the first time in an hour and ate all the tops off the blueberry muffins (on the back of the counter, she climbs on the knobs on the drawers to get back there and paws the pan towards her) while I was changing a diaper! I grabbed her by the scruff and put her right back in the crate and told the kids that they can not take her out. (quit smoking cold turkey for new years, this is torture) |

nothing, keep the bowl clean and tell everyone to do their business outside from now on.
I wonder if there is anything that you can put in the toilet water that is non toxic but she would hate to drink. Vinegar or bitter apple maybe, of course the bitter apple may get expensive. My dog drinks from the toilet too sometimes but it doesn't bother me, I just tell her to leave it and she runs off. And my old dog used to eat cat poop too, we thought about making a very small kitty door that leads to the mud room that only she could fit through. He was hit by a car though, the first time he ever got out of the house |

Hmmmm I don't know?
My misty never did stop drinking from the toilet, She refused to drink from her dish, That nice cool spring in the bathroom was much better to drink from. Oh and Amy, Misty LOVED bitter apple.......I'm pretty sure Steele would to given her taste for bar soap.
Now if I could break fat Ashley from counter surfing things would be great! |

Kasper was an extremely wild Weimy last night, but it's partially my own fault because I've been sick with some kind of stomach virus and it's hard to get him out for some exercise when your either in bed or in the bathroom if you know what I mean. It's rough being a single Weim mom *laugh*, but today we went on a really long walk and played fetch and then went for a car ride...his favorite thing to do and now he is peacefully sleeping on the floor beside me, but he's fumigating me...must be some kind of payback. Also, about the counter surfing issue...I read in some other post that you could put a new clean mouse trap on the counter upside down and set and they are so sensitive that when the dog gets up on the counter it snaps and scares them....I haven't tried it yet though.
I love my weim! |
