With all the sick dogs around here, I haven't been able to really work with Colt one on one this week. When he got here last week, we were amazed at some of the stuff that he did know...and amazed equally that he didn't even know how to sit. Tonight (in five minutes) I taught him...at first he wouldn't do it, and then we figured out he doesn't like to sit on the linoliem in the kitchen. We have a rug in there that eventually he started to back towards and sit. Now, every time I walk in the kitchen, he follows me and sits...on the rug
He's such a smart puppy. Full of energy, now that he's feeling better! |

Gail,
Thanks for asking. Yes, she's a bit better, actually. My bf just ran to the store to get some fresh chicken breast for her, since she still can't smell her food and isn't interested in anything but chicken and cookies Her face is still swollen, but the green stuff coming out of her nose is much less, and she's having an easier time breathing. She even wagged her nubbin this morning, which she didn't do at all yesterday. I forgot to mention that she has an extremely swollen salivary gland. I've never seen this in a dog, and the vet said it's uncommon. Weird.
She did keep down all of her meds last night, and hopefully, when i get more into her after her breakfast, she'll improve even more fast.
Thank you for caring so much about my girl |
