Wow, LOT of conflicting views here...
I've always heard that raw eggs are good for dogs. But I've never heard of this binding to B vitamins and preventing their absorption thing.
Dogs will not get salmonella from raw eggs. Humans will. Same reason dogs can eat raw chicken, while humans cannot.
I'm sure it was the egg that made him throw up... it's the first time he's thrown up since I've had him and it's the only thing I've done different as far as his feeding has gone.
It was definitely cold, maybe next time I'll just do half an egg and leave it out to make it room temperature like you said.
Or maybe for now I'll just hard boil them. Better safe than sorry, I don't like waking up in throw-up.
Luckily it didn't give him the runs, like fatty foods can do, but maybe that's because he threw it up. He threw up about 5 hours after he ate it though, because he ate it at about 8:30, and woke me up at 2:30 in the morning.
I'll let you all know how the next egg-xperiment goes. |

Naturally, considering I was covered in it. And it's hard to forget when you're matress still has a faint regurgitated egg smell to it. Yum... |

RJ, normally raw egg is fine for them. The only thing I thought was that maybe because he is so young, it was just a little too much for him, too rich and fatty. I wouldn't give it to him cold right out of the fridge. But egg is very good for them.
Wait until he is just a little bigger, then try again.

| I replied to your PM and agree with Lynn. Probably just too much too soon. |

Turns out maybe it wasn't the egg. He threw up last night when all I gave him was kibble and yogurt, which he always does fine with.
I think I'm feeding him too much too late, this meal came at 10PM
It's hard because some days he sleeps in until 1030AM, so I still try to space his meals out like usual and the last one lands at 10 or 1030 at night. I'll have to manage it better so that he doesn't eat past 830 or so |
