| My daughter brings her male dog over sometimes and Duke and her dog Stewie play well together most of the time but are starting to show a bit of aggression towards each other at times (like over toys). Duke does seem to be the more submissive one most of the time. Duke is 5 months and Stewie is almost 2. My question is should we interfere when they do this or just let one of them naturally become the dominant over the other? |

This is from last night. We have quite the menagerie of dogs don't we? My Duke (Weim) My Boomer (Golden) My Bailey (Pug) and my daughters 2 Stewie (Boston mix) and her new puppy Luigi (Boxer mix). None of these dogs look anything alike! It is so funny to see them all together!! And the other funny thing is that my Pug thinks she's Dukes Mama and if any of the other dogs get to rough with him she lets them have it! And they all respect her (being the only female) and the Queen of the castle, lol.

I'd let them work it out themselves, unless it seems to be getting out of hand and one might get hurt. Just keep an eye on them while they're figuring out the order.
Duke's such a good boy, sitting like that for his treat!!! He knows what "good boys" get !!! |
