what are your kids' favorites?
I never feed Jaeger from the table but I do share fruit with him sometimes. He loves:
apples
blueberries
peaches
bananas
pears
would love to hear any other suggestions you guys have!

Me too! I get worried about what is ok for them and what isn't. I will try anything I know any other dogs have tried and lived through but I hear too many "poisoning" stories so I am hesitant...
Anyone else heard that raisins are bad for dogs? |

when I took my dog to class, the trainer did say not go give him
grapes or raisins have given my dog bananas, pears and apples.
He loves them. I tried carrots, and he turned away. |

grapes and raisins can cause kidney and/or liver failure, which can and does result in death. the amount that's fatal totally depends from one dog to another. some dogs can tolerate them better than others, but either way, don't leave them out where your dog can find em!!
all Logan has tried so far as a treat are green beans. he's a big fan.
i just bought some pears, maybe i'll give him a taste |

My mom has Sugar Gliders, and she feeds them mixed frozen fruit, that she dices up. My kids have learned to hang out near the kitchen counter when she is cutting it up, and I see her slipping them fruit from the board. The bag has:
strawberries
melon (green)
cantaloupe
peaches
grapes (she knows not to give them grapes)
pineapple
blueberry
and I am probably forgetting some cause I am working from memory. But they love it all, especially frozen (because they also love ice). |

This is so ironic. Last week Ringo bit William Shatner on the *bum*. He didn't press charges, thankfully. Oh wait. Am I posting this in the wrong section? Off topic?
Sorry. The real reason it was ironic was because my cousin tried to feed Ringo a carrot today and he rejected it.
Hmmm.... that's not so ironic. I'm sorry for my Alanis Morissette moment. |

We never feed Jag from the table either. He favorites are raw carrots, potatoes, turnip. He loves fruit like cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, apples, bananas, peaches and melons. Sometimes I think Jag would rather have a carrot than a marrow bone.

I think I am going to try carrots again. It sure would be cheaper than
the rawhides! |
