Could anyone explain why every time I take Bailey to my families farm she insists on finding the largest pile of horse s**t and cover herself in it.
She absolutely LOVES smelling bad
It is quite annoying, the car ride home is AWFUL |

I personally don't think horse manure stinks bad at all. I could live in a barn...lol! |

ME TOO (live in a barn)!!!
We have horses and all the dogs do this and the cats, too!!
Who knows.
But, I read somewhere that dogs roll in stuff to let other dogs know where they had been, to cover up there scent???? Something like that anyway. I just told mine I didn't care where they had been...they didn't have to roll in poo to cover up anything. They don't listen, they still roll in all kinds of stuff. Even, my smallest of poodles. She will rub her head in poo..... I could choke her sometimes......
Anyway, I have no idea why they do it, I just know mine do it too. So you are not alone!!! |

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THIS IS AN OLD DOG INSTINCT, BECAUSE MY DOGS DID IT TOO ON A DEAD SNAKE.....
APPARENTLY, WHEN DOGS WERE STILL IN THE WILD, THEY DID IT TO CONFUSE THE ANIMAL THEY HUNTING OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. |
