Jake is great with other dogs........at the dog park. He LOVES playing and running and wrestling with them. Even the little dogs, he gets in a good butt sniff and knocks them over and then will go find a bigger dog to play with.
Here is my question. My best friend has a 6 lbs, 2 yr old yorkie names Sera. Very sweet girl. But not socialized at all. When they come over, Jake just wants to check her out which freaks out Heather (Sera's mom...and can you blame her? A 60 lb puppy trying to get at her 6 lb baby!) and Sera barks and barks and barks, which gets Jake overly excited and then there is nothing left to do but crate him. I hate it! I want him to be able to be calm...lol...enough to meet her. I also know a lot of it is on Heather and Sera to be calm, too. But what can I do as far as Jake to make this easier!? |

| First of all, Heather needs to calm down. Sera is surely picking up on her human's attitude. If Jake is a normal well socialized dog, there shouldn't be a problem... Heather should probably socialize Sera with an older calm dog to get Sera used to other dogs.... |
