Hello, I'm a big lurker of the site, I love it.
I got a couple questions, if you don't mind I would like to tap the knowledge of some of you Weim owners.
I have a pup, Orvis, he is about 6 months old. At what age does is a weim fully grown? Also, how old are they before their eyes take on their permanent color?
Thanks,
Jake |

Jake,
On the main page there is a search box.If you search these 2 topics they were just discussed last week.
But if you want to wait for an answer that's alright too.
This is an awesome site.Glad you stopped lurking and decided to join in.Have fun.

I'm not sure about the eyes but holly is almost 8 months and her eyes are still blue but they aren't as bright as they used to be. I think they are all different though, I wish they would stay blue forever.
Welcome to the board by the way! |

| Welcome to the site. Males can have skeletal growth up until about 14 months of age. After that, they just fill out. We have a two year old that was 80-85 lbs at 9 months old. He now weighs about 90 lbs. Female growth stops a little sooner and of course they don't fill out like a male would. |

Thanks for the info. I did try to run a search, but for some reason it prompts me to down load a file. I am a mac user so sometimes websites don't work the same for me.
Never mind, I got it to work.
Thanks |

| Oh, my Jake is 10 and sometimes his eyes are still bluish. It really depends on the dog. Gunnar eyes have a blue tint in the sun sometimes. Scout and Silkie are all amber. If I remember correctly, their eyes changed by 6 months. |
