You will likely be feeding less overall by the time you are ready to go from 3 to 2 meals. But with all the growth spurts young dogs go through, you should just adjust based on how she is looking. Yes you should feed frequent meals to puppies, usually by the time they are 8 weeks old and going to a new home they are on 3 meals a day, plus a snack before bed for those pups that vomit bile from an empty stomach. When your pup is around 4-6 months, you can drop down to 2 meals a day. Often a pup will tell you when they are ready to drop to 2, as they will skip a meal or have a poor appetite at one meal. We cut it down to 3/day when he was roughly 3.5 months and then to 2/day at 4.5 months. Usually at 8, 12, 4, and 8. He honestly isn't much of a pig though, he usually leaves a little bit at the end of each meal. Maybe I'm feeding a bit too much... I just pick it up instead of letting him graze on it later. I was wondering when I should go down to 3 meals...
