Counter surfing and stealing food

i have the same problem with blue, NOW! as some of you know blue is sick with con. heart failure. ive spent his whole life training him not to beg or eat what hes not allowed. and he never has. but after we found out he was sick i started spoiling him rotten with food scraps from the table, lettin him beg, sleepin in the bed with us, you name it. i figuerd if my boys goin down im gonna let him live it up. the vets said he wouldnt make it through the week, that was two months ago... but anyway,BOY, DID I CREATE A MONSTER! he took advantage real quick. now hes outta control! he is now the conter surfin master! two years of traning was washed down the drain in a week!

i really have no advice i just thought id vent Very Happy

AH!AH!AH! MY DOG TOMMY DOES THAT ALL THE TIMES. WITH US AROUND HE DOESN'T JUMP ON THE KITCHEN COUNTERS, BUT AS SOON AS WE LEAVE THE ROOM, HE IS ON THERE. WELL AT FIRST, WE JUST CLOSED THE DOORS AND EVERYTHING WAS OK, BUT NOW HE LEARN HOW TO OPEN DOORS SO IT GETS IN THE KITCHEN WITH NO PROBLEMS BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE A KEY TO LOCK IT....WHEN WE CATCH HIM WE WOULD TELL HIM OFF, AND HE KNOWS HE IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG...BECAUSE THE SNEAKY ONE DOES IT REALLY QUETLY SO THAT WE DON'T HEAR HIM, AND WHEN WE GO TO THE KITCHEN, TO CHECK ON HIM, HE IS ALREADY IN HIS CRATE LIKE HE IS NOT THE ONE WHO DID IT.... Cool

WE JUST AVOID LEAVING ANYTHING ON THE COUNTER OR THE SINK!!!
