Kinley has been eating raw for three weeks. My questions do you buy your meat in bulk? Its getting expensive, so I didn't know if some of you bought in bulk to cut the expensive some or if that is even an option? Any other tips?
Also Kinley is 18 weeks and 29 pounds, she seems small compared to most of the pups on here, and it is hard to try and get weight on her and keep it on.
Thanks for the help. |

Well, mine, except for Scout, are on the way large side for weims. Kinley may not be too small, she may be just right.
I feed partial raw and I still do it from a supermarket...and it is expensive. |

Talk to the butcher at your grocery store. That is what I did and they help me out alot. They know that I don't buy all of that meat for my family, (part of us are vegetarians) and he gives me a nice break. We also feed venison from time to time. Lots of deer hunters here. My husband processes meet for alot of the hunters and they are very happy to feed my babies a healthy diet.
Some of the little out of the way mom and pop type grocery stores will help too. One store down here, gives me chicken for .50 a pack, no matter the size and beef is 1.00. I get it the day it is too "expire" and I freeze it. That way they don't lose all of their money and I get a really good deal.
But, just check around. It is alot of effort, but, really worth it in the long run. |

| Go to dogaware.com and see if there is a raw feeding co-op near you. Of course the butcher idea is good too. If you buy in bulk you will save a lot of money. My co-op sells chicken backs for less than $0.50/lb |
