| I have to let you know how much better I feel! I new Weims were tough, but I am glad it isn't just me that is struggling!! Sunki is having the roughest time getting house trained!! Someone told me it was because I don't crate her at night!! My problem isn't at night!! I will let her out and out and she will walk right back in the house and go to the bathroom!! Any suggestions?? |

I never had a problem with sterling at night, and we didn't crate her at night after she was about four months old. I DID have a bugger of a time during the day. She went all the time in her crate. I had to go completely back to basics and retrain her using the crate and treating her as if she was a newborn puppy. It worked, but it took A LOT of patience and time. She's now 9 months old...today |

Riley is 8 weeks... we break the rule and dont crate her at night. When she has to pee, she chews on my face. Its a great way to wake up...
Anyway, she is showing signs of trying to hold it indoors already... but she isnt sure yet how to ask to go out... working on that one.
When we take her out, we say "time to go pee" and as soon as she squats, we say "good pee, what a good girl". then take her inside.
of course, she loves to play outside already, so i dont always take her right inside, but i do at times to hopefully enforce that its ok to go outside just to pee... infact, you will get your ears scratched if you do.
have not had a problem with her coming back inside and peeing at all.. mostly its just because I lose track of time (on here) and forget to take her out (yes, there is video on youtube of this). |
