Hi,
As a semi-pro sports photographer, I turned my lens to my one year old (Camelot) Weimaraner, Rebus, which resulted in some spectacular art.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Technically, the hardest part was getting the photograph the retouching was easy.
Because you asked, this is how I got the image
The photo
With the dog beside my wife (50 yards away) I called the dog to me (making sure the sun was behind me). Modern SLR camera's have a 'servo' mode that will maintain focus on a moving object up to 30 miles per hour. Shooting at 3 frames per second I got the shot I wanted,
The final image.
Pretty simple if you can use Photoshop. I simple applied a rotational blurr centering it around the dog, added a layer mask and painted out the dog.
This is probably the simplest image I have produced but the result is powerful.
Thanks for asking and I apologize to all who thought the above was nonsense
George. |

Great looking dog!
Makes me want to go buy a fancy camera. But then I'd have to learn how to use it....

I agree. Keep taking and posting pics George. They're really good!
Thanks for posting how you took picture #18. I wish I could do that, but I only have a point and shoot. It takes some great pictures, but there isn't much manual control. I do have Adobe Photoshop, but I don't really know how to use it. I might just have to play around with it now. |
