Well, I've tried the yelping and the thing is, she bites harder. It's very frustrating, I yelp and she just goes for more. I get up and leave. Not much progress though and I wonder if I should be concerned.
Our backyard isn't very big and she loves fetch, but we want to start taking her for walks. I was reading that walking is not enough! So should we run her? I don't think she's getting enough exercise right now although she sleeps pretty well.
Thanks! |

Hi,
How old is your weim? If she is little then you probably shouldn't run with her. I think they don't recommend a lot of running the first year. We have just got our first weim, who is now 15 weeks old, he is constantly biting us and we try the yelping. He has reduced the amount he does it but it is still there. I think it will be until he gets his big teeth. You just have to put up with it and try and distract her when she does it.
We take oscar for 2 walks a day and let him off the lead on both, he gets a good work out and is very tired. |

I meant when she's full grown, I don't think I can keep up with her running at her biggest size.
She's 3 months. She went for her first walk today, didn't last very long but we will go further as she gets used to it.
Good to know it's a usual thing, she only bites when she plays at least and never tries to bite when she's upset. |

| when you play with her and she bites give her a command to stop, i use no biting. stop playing for a while until she stops (sometimes i have to get up and walk away) when she stops biting start playing again this has worked a treat with charlie. he still tries to nibble sometimes but as soon as i say no biting he stops. |
