Here is something I made before my Weimaraner pup arrived home.

A Rattle Toy!

#Get a plastic sml drink bottle

#Fill the bottle a little bit with small pebbles or something similar to give a rattle noise

#Put lid on bottle & cover with two pairs of socks tieing them up in a knot at the end going in different directions the socks

#You can also add extra padding if you like around the plastic bottle befor you put the socks on.

My 7 month old pup still regards this as one of her favourite toys as she loves the noise it makes & she loves grabing it at the end where the knot is & shaking it Very Happy

You know, empty pop bottles seem to be one of my Weim's and Lab-X's favorite toys. I don't really understand it, but it sure makes a cheap toy! Wink

Scout loves the big arizona tea jugs. They're pretty resistant too and I get to enjoy the tea!

Busta still has her tail! It's so strange to see an intact tail on a weim. Do you live in europe where they banned the tail crop or did you request the breeder not to crop it. And I've heard their tails hurt like a son-of-a-gun when they wag it and his you! I can see how fast scout's little tail goes and I can only imagine! Very Happy

We have a German Shorthaired Pointer (perhaps a mix) that we adopted that still has a tail... and boy oh boy, it can really give you a good whack. It is just like having a whip attached to her rear! LOL The poor girl had slung it so hard that she had totally bloodied it on the end in the run they had her in at the shelter. We considered having her surgically docked if it didn’t heal (happy tail syndrome), but once we got her home where she wasn’t confined so much, it started to heal up (though to this day it is a bit scared).

I am guessing that Weims are the same way given their tails look just about the same.

I live in Western Australia & tail docking is now illegel here. But I still found it hard to find a breeder that kept the tails kept on Confused

So I got her sent from Tasmania which is on the other side of Australia as a litter over there had 2 girl weims with there tails kept on.

I think it was requested by some one & they only wanted one so I was lucky to of got the other.

Weimaraners look beautiful to me with no tail or with a tail, we just preferred a tail Smile

Grace goes crazy for my emty water bottles. She is an absolute loon with them. It takes about twenty minutes for her to get the cap off and finish annialating it so I have started having my entire family (huge Grace fans) start saving thiers as well.

That is so funny. Riley LOVES water bottles too. I wonder if it is all dogs?
If he sees someone in the distance holding a water bottle, he almost charges them for it, or does the running sneak by and takes it out of their hands. He will toss it around all day!

Ever come home to a kleenex "snow storm"? Or had your house toilet-papered from the inside by your own dog? Dryer lint is a big hit too!

toby prefers the dryer sheets- and good luck trying to get them from him. He will clench down hard when he gets a hold of one
