Hello all
I adopted a two year old Weim about a month ago. I have taken him to a vet and he is great, his weight is now fine, his stool sample is fine. But I am worried about his stool, his first one of the day is hard, but everyone after that (2-4) is runny. I add 1 tbspn of yogurt to hs food and that seemed to get his first one (of the day) hard, the one day I used a different variety of yogurt and it was very runny. He is on Orijen adult formula. When I adopted him the rescue agency told me that the previous owners had him on straight no-name canned soft food. So what I am wondering is if being on such a high protein food now ( after he was raised on such a crappy variety) is messing him up? When his poop is runny he poops in about 4 spots and it looks like he is forcing it out. I talked to the vet, but he didn't have much to say. So I was hoping someone might have some advice. Also tonight for the first time he threw up , and it was alot of food, he didn't seem to digest any of it, it was like a brick of food. I am a little worried about him. |
