Hello from Canada!
Just joined this forum - loving the puppy pictures...Cooper & Indy are 2 & 1, and we miss the puppy stage. Well, not all of it!!! Can you beleive these angels ate & destroyed a couch by biting the foam cushions and spitting out the foam? It looked like a foam beach in our living room!

Aren't weims (and kids) always angels when asleep?
Indy was rescued 9 months. She was not kennel trained & we were told she had severe SA, and had hurt herself trying to leave her kennel. We are not on the rescue team here, and only ended up fostering her by accident (long story). We did not really see any SA as described and fell in love with her.
Cooper helped crate train her by sharing a kennel with her for about 6 weeks, nights first & then during daytime absences. So now, 4 months after rescue she is crate trained & able to stay in her crate (beside Cooper) during our work for 3-4 hours at a time. I'm so proud of them both!
As far as SA, in my opinion, SF (Separation FUN)has been a bigger issue for us. I think the couch was a sacrifice to SF and our own stupidity when we should have known better... |
