Just wondering if any of the Northwest folks are planning to attend either the WWC Picnic on April 23rd, or the Hunt Test seminar in May on Sauvie Island.
I'm pretty sure I'll be at both! The picnic sounds like it will be fun and informative! |

| I was in LA for the picnic, but I am trying to get Andy to take Ridd to the Hunt Test Seminar. Are you for sure going? |

| Unfortunately I can't go now. I'll have to wait until another one comes around. It sounded really helpful, though. |

Still looking! We are determined to get another girl, but just haven't found the right breeding or timing yet. I keep looking at cute little 6mo. old 'Red' on Westend Kennel's website - but I am afraid I will miss the baby stage, even though it would mean less work & headaches.
I am so nervous about making the wrong decision or choosing the wrong breeder, even though I have researched every single one in great detail. I am nervous about picking/or having the breeder pick the wrong dog for the family. I think that I 'think' about it too much.
I read a few places where you said you'd like to get another. Is that something you'd like to do soon? |

In the past I really wanted to get another pup, but because we were renting our house and were only allowed one large dog, that pretty much made the decision for us... However, we recently purchased our first house and will be moving before the end of the month; it has a great backyard, a dog run and dog doors that are large enough for a weim or two
Andy and I have talked about it and we both think getting another dog is in our future, but kind of like you, a little unsure if we want a puppy, a rescue, or one of Westend's 6 month females. I am also really interested in a blue, and have been doing a little reading on Anne's website about them. I feel like for us we are at that stage, that introducing another puppy into the mix wouldn't be so bad. Riddick is going to be 15 months old, he is doing really well in his obed classes, but is still enough puppy to enjoy having another young pup around to play with. Sometimes I think it would be so hard to have two large dogs, but then other times I am convinced having two dogs would be easier. I guess I am still a little unsure. I will keep you posted though.
We are going to Mexico for 10 day next week and Riddick I think is going to Westend to stay... maybe I will get to see the cute girls when I am there. I'll let you know. |

| Heather - congrats on your new home - sounds perfect for two weims!! We adopted Runner from rescue and we could not have made a more perfect choice - we've only had him for a little over a month and I could not imagine our lives without him!! |

How exciting! Congratulations! Maybe we can see pictures sometime!?
I know what you mean about two weims maybe being easier - they could play together & keep each other company when we're gone. Anja loves to go outside, but only if I'll go with her. She might play like crazy outside if another weim was there to run around with. |
