Okay, so tonight was the first kitchen swipe for the dogs. I am still training them not to go in the kitchen because we've only been here a few days. Well, I went to check my email and suddenly I heard the sound of plastic rustling in the living room. I jumped up and ran into the living room to find Sadie chowing down on a wheat roll and Scooter tearing open the bag to get another!!! Crazy dogs. Well, needless to say they got scolded and put outside for a time out. I guess I have to get the scat mat out. So I won't be having a sandwich tomorrow for lunch, or at least one with out bread. lol |

Weims, you gotta love 'em.......
I haven't posted this story on this list before, I don't think..... It was probly about 1 month after we got KC, our first Weim. He was already 1.5 yrs old and pretty well mannered. Anyway, we had company over for dinner 1 night. Fajitas (chicken & beef), grilled onions & bell peppers, guacamole, pico de gallo, mexican rice & beans and of course tortillas. Everything homemade. We had finished dinner and sat around chatting for an hour or so. The time came to walk our friends out to their car, only about 30 feet out the back door. We were outside maybe 3-5 minutes. When Jimmy & I got back inside, KC was sitting there all innocent and then we looked at the table. Every dish on the table was cleaned off!!!!!! He had eaten around 3# of leftover fajitas (I cooked nearly 8#), all the fixings and sides, licked clean the sour cream, cheese, even the jalapenos were gone. He just stood there w/ that look, 'what food?, I didn't see any food....').
It was at this point we realized that nothing food related was safe w/ a Weim.

(KC is probly laughing from over the Bridge as I recall this incident) |

LOL ahh yes. I love Weims. I posted on a different thread, Jack ever so carefully lifted a HUGE ham out of my sink, carefully unwrapped it, and devoured the entire thing.
I was having company over for dinner the next night LOL ham was no longer on the menu!!!! |
