| Sorry to hear that. I have had a Galileo for over a year, and my Wiem and Rottie absolutely love and have never had a problem. Best of luck with the company.....though I must confess they love empty soda bottles the most! |

we do a lot of the dinosaur shaped ones... they are hard (the white ones) but not as hard.
we do have one like Linkin was chewing when he chipped the tooth. its called the dagger now because they have chewed one end to a sharp point. all three of them chew it, and they are all working on chewing that point.
every now and again they will make a loud chomping sound when their teeth slip off. i figure that could happen on most anything they chew, and this toy is probably safer than 90% of whats out there. i would look into the dinosaur bones they make - if you havent tried them, he may like them. dont get the blue ones though, they are not strong enough. |

I second giving the dinosaurs a try - There are 2 of them in my house currently... one still kind of looks like a dinosaur, and the other is almost down to where I should throw it away. Luna doesn't seem to break pieces off, they sort of just get worn down. But I've had both of these for 6+ months now!
I will caution you this though, they hurt like a @!#%^$ when you step on them!! |

Poor Linkin
I was at PetSmart last night looking at bones, and remembered your post. You wrote a good letter, hopefully someone will take notice so the same thing doesn't happen again. |

I'll tell you what is great for Ally and it's SO cheap. Go to the dog section of Walgreen's. There is a big knotty bone. It's made by Hartz and called something like a Smoked Meaty Knuckle. Ally licks ALL the meat off first and then gets down to it. It takes her days, weeks to actually make it disappear. My neighbor gives one to his lab also but makes him eat it outside b/c he thinks it messes up the carpet but I've never had any messes just crumbs but Ally gets those too. |

That is so weird, I went to Walgreens today at Lunch and bought
Champ two of them. I also found the Pedipaws. Champ has nice
treats tonight while I try to use this thing on his nails. We will see
how it goes |

| We are still working on the pedipaws...my guys are such chickens. Jake let me do his nails with it but his nails are SOOOO thick that it barely puts a dent in them. |

Good luck with "THE KNUCKLE!" I've never even noticed the pedipaws. I will have to check that out. I stopped trimming Ally's nails months ago. She hates to get her nails trimmed or filed and no one has ever CUT HER. She's such a baby when it comes to this. I think she's sensitive to the pressure or vibration. We've been going to the vet for filing b/c trimming is just poor, however, I am open to new solutions and less expense always!
Have a great day! |
