So I came home today and saw that my boy Razor ate 3 shoes and my boyfriends Fav hat, that I was going to wash for him But my dog kinda chewed it But anyway this isnt the 1st time by any means that he has done this... Well he has Separation anxiety and he is always in the kennel when I am not home because he cant be trusted which is sad I mean he likes goin in to it but when I leave the house I bet he barks for 10 15 min... Well he broke out today which also isnt the first time but he didnt eat anything that time...
But I bringing him to the vet on thu, to see if there is anything I can give him that they think will help him ..
I was wondering if there is anything that you guys have done with your dogs that have the same problem Training anything meds I am lost .. He is about 1 1/2 now and has always been like this it has gotten better but not much so please give me some heads up on this I would reallyappreciate it |

Doggie day care!!
I know it can get expensive, but I can get Winston in for $15/day and when I pick him up, he's happy and exhausted. It makes me feel better knowing he's around people all day, plus a lot of playtime with other dogs. I alternate days to save money, so this morning he crawled into his kennel and fell asleep before I even left the house!
However, it's worth the cost if you figure in how much you're spending on shoes he's destroying. |

| Doggy Day Care is great, around here it is hard to find any one who offers it though. We only have one place and it is really out of the way. Even if you need to board here you must book about two months in advance. |

My Gunner was the one I had a lot of a problems with the "I don't like the crate and you can't make me syndrome" I have their crates down in our family room. I fill kongs or bones with peanut butter and oatmeal, frozen so they last longer, and turn the tv on to watch Animal Planet. He has adjusted very well to this practice and now when I come home, he is well rested. Since doing this he has not busted out of his crate. Nor does he cry when he I leave. He accually goes into his crate willingly. He is a much happier boy |

Exercise, exercise, exercise!!!!!
Wear him out, not the ball playing can't breathe kind, but the mental and physical exhaustion of a good "hunt" is what they need. We are lucky and have a great area he can play and be a dog off-leash, he loves to "hunt" for tennis balls or even his toys in the yard.
Can't stress it enough! I can now safely leave Wilson home alone with the run of the house! I believe there are times he is happy to see me leave 'cause he is so exhausted. |
