My little girl Roxy has been sick for about 3 weeks now and has been to the vet twice. We can’t figure out what is wrong with her.

She will be sick for a couple of days, throwing up, with some diarrhea, and then she will be fine for a couple of days. She still acts happy, and she still eats and drinks, especially in the afternoon and evening.

The last three mornings in a row she has thrown up, but after lunch time she is happy and ready to go-until the next morning when she suddenly gets sick again.

Does anyone have any Ideas about what this might be? I am afraid she might start getting dehydrated, or maybe get worse than she is.

My Sky threw up as a baby, but not diarrhea. Doc thought it was just acid reflux. She got a small snack right before bed for awhile. Waking up at 3am to a puppy puking in your bed is NOT FUN!

No, it is certainly not fun.

Thanks for the info, we will try that tonight!

I thought Roxie was a pup, but yeah she might just have acid reflux. I gave Sky a couple Milk Bones right before bed, see if something like that helps. In the morning if my boy doesn't eat right away, he'll eat grass
and be a pukey puppy as well.

Jager used to dry heave or vomit in the morning when he was a puppy. I found that if I gave him a snack before bed he would be fine.
He doesn’t do it anymore.

Roxy is a little over a year, but I still call her a puppy. I guess technically, she is a real dog by now Laughing

Wow, I'm glad you were able to help me out. That may just work! We usually keep our puppies on a pretty strict routine, but it sounds like a snack before bed is the perfect thing to cure this problem!

Thanks again!
