| Does anyone have one of those canvas soft crates for travel that collapse super easy? Jersey is great in the car but we need one for when we go to people's houses if they don't want her running all over the place. Any suggestions on sizes/prices/websites? Thanks!!!!!!!!! |

I bought one for Schatze to take to my mother's house when we visit. I decided to give it a test run while we went to grab a bite to eat. I put her in just like I do at home. She never minds her crate...
Before we pulled out of the driveway her big head was lifting the blinds to look outside. She had shredded the front seem in like 4 minutes and escaped.
NOT WEIM PROOF!!! That was the quickest loss of money ever!!!
This is the one we had for like 10 minutes!!! |

| Yes, I have a couple and they are very convenient. I even crate trained a puppy in one, although that is not recommended. They are easily destroyed if your dog doesn't like crates. But otherwise they are great. Easy to store, easy to carry, etc. |

| WE have one for travel/events and transport/overnight guest-doggies. It's olive green and the box had a WEim in the crate on it. WE got it at PetCo. It works ok but is not scratch-proof. We have the largest one they came in... |

I have a soft crate. Here is the link at Dr's Foster and Smith.

I bought it at Petsmart/co. Taren has had it since we brought him home as well as a metal one. He is nearly 6 months old and we always use the soft sided one. We place a dog bed in the bottom. He does not chew on it, doesn't try to escape and never has. As a matter of fact we leave the side open and naps in there every day. I love the fact that the top opens, one large side opens and one small side opens. Most sides have a ventilated mesh so they can see out and breath. I like it, the crate is sturdy and easy to travel with. If you have a chewer this is not for you. Taren chews everything else, but not the crate. I have the largest size there is. |

The one in the picture is the EXACT one we have for Luna, and she does really great in it... We've been using it since she was about 6 or 7 months old now, and it's still in great shape!
I was actually impressed with the company that made the crate - Firstrax I think - The crate came with a pad in it that had a seam come apart within the first couple weeks and I wrote them and they sent me a replacement no charge, without question!
I guess every dog really is different! |

| Slade got out of his in about 2.5 seconds. Split the screen and hopped out. I may try taking it to a company that repairs tents, and having them replace the screens with something stronger, if not, it'll just be a really expensive closet-filler. He's never tried going through the canvas itself though. |
