Hi all
Wondering if anyone has a stinky or stinkless weim (hence, if yours is stinkless i'd love suggestions!!!) Jersey's breath is stanky!! not her body, just her breath. I brush her teeth EVERY DAY. but it seems like her mom just makes everything stink (her bedding etc) I live in a 1br apartment in NYC and it's definitely not ideal for her to be such a stink!!! Any suggestions would be great...she eats Purina one large breed puppy...not sure if that could be a contributing factor. Also, does anyone use greenies or anything else I don't know about??? Thanks! |

| Bailey does not stink...his breath does not stink. I mean it's breath, but it does not knock me over. I like the way his feet smell...like popcorn!!! I guess I just got lucky, I don't do anything special. |

I have a stinkless Weim.
How old is your girl? Does she have all her adult teeth? Sometimes their breath gets stinky as the baby teeth die and the new teeth come in. If it's really bad I'd get her mouth checked out.
Rather than brushing (my guy hates it) I got a dental scaler and I clean his teeth that way. |

She's about 6.5 months old so it definitely could be a baby teeth thing. She doesn't mind me brushing (her previous owner was a dental hygienist so she is definitely used to it!!!) Hoping that stink goes away whewwwww. |

Is it fish breath??
If it is, chances are her anal glands need to be expressed and the smell is coming from her licking her butt!
Lincoln sometimes gets a bit stinky if he hasn't expressed his anal glands naturally. It's never gotten so bad that I've felt I needed to express them myself yet, but I know that awful fish breath...yuck! |

the bad breath is probably a digestive thing if you brush his teeth, and he isn't teething. try some kefir mixed in his food.. and some of them are just stinkier than others naturally.
Boo had cheese feet.. but other than that.. no odor, and was bathed every 2-3 months or so..
Hooch, he smells like herbal tea, and i have to wash his bedding every week, and him every month or the rest of the house does, too.. |

I love corn chip feet....
For the stinky breath, I would make sure her anal glands are expressed as Meredith says. If not, I would suspect the food. That doggy breath/doggy smell thing is affected by what they are eating... |

Lastnight I was lying in bed with Jack... and I could never put my finger on the smell of his feet, and you're right! Total popcorn smell!!!
Other than that... Jack isn't a stinky weim (until he passes gas at which point he's deadly)... and he has dog breath but it doesnt bother me... and of course... yep! Popcorn feet!! |

BLue had bad breath when he needed dental work. Sometimes his but smells and then he expresses his AG's himself. One vet LOVES to do it, but we rarely need it done.
June has no real stink at all...
Sometimes we get frito-feet (which I love, too) and sometimes ear gunk cause some odor but I would check the baby teeth and the food.... |

| Ally just recently started getting stinky breath and she's TWO! I don't know what that's about. We haven't changed her food and I can tell when it's time for the anal glands to be expressed. Plus, she just had her annual....but it doesn't seem like it's all the time enough to bother me. I really only notice it when we're in the car and she's got her mouth right in my face; not when we're playing....weird - huh? |
